The M4K is a Partially Mine Protected Recovery Vehicle developed by Konya-based Machinery Production Group (MPG) to take part in the safe recovery of military vehicles damaged or broken-down during operations. SECANT technology designed the vehicle’s cabin, which provides ballistic and mine protection in compliance with NATO STANAG 4569. The vehicle also has fire suppression, an explosion suppression system, shock-absorbing seats, and a CBRN protection system for personnel safety. With a weight of 46 tons, the vehicle features three rope drums for use in recovery operations and is suitable for difficult terrain and weather situations. As a result, it can lift 25 tons from a distance of 7 meters.

The M4K is outfitted with ASELSAN’s SARP Remote Controlled Weapon System to neutralize threats encountered on the route or during the mission. The vehicle can attain a top speed of 80 km/h thanks to an automated transmission with a torque converter integrated into a 600 HP diesel engine. The vehicle has a maximum range of 550 km and features such as independent suspension, run-flat tires, and central tire inflation. The M4K is capable of climbing 60% steep slopes, holding on at 25% side slopes, and passing through 1.2 meters of water.
